Lorilyn Satyabhakti Haubrich

Hello and thank you for checking us out!  I am the owner of Yoga Tahoe and a graduate of the Iyengar Yoga Institute of San Francisco. I specialize in injury recovery/rebalance, therapeutic, pre-natal, and rehabilitative yoga. I am a Flower Remedy Practitioner, Holistic Life Coach, Personal Trainer and Nutritional Counselor.  I have taught at Lake Tahoe Community College for almost two decades, specializing in Yoga and Medicinal Plant classes. My first yoga studio, Tahoe Rising, received a "Best of Tahoe" award in 2013.

For me, the practice of yoga is a sacred art, science and philosophy, one that incorporates spirituality with a healthy, happy lifestyle. I strive to teach in a manner that is playful, sensitive, soulful, motivating and intelligent.

I hold over 1000 hours of teacher training, advanced trainings, and certificates in Iyengar, Ashtanga, Forest, Kundalini, Tibetan, and Radiant Child Yoga.  My home is in Iyengar Yoga.  I have a diverse educational background in meditation, religious studies, Christianity, Tibetan Buddhism, Sacred Geometry, Astrology and Metaphysics.

Personally, I delight in being active, outdoors and playing with Mother Nature. I have 4 Vizslas, chickens,  hermit crabs and lots of plants. I enjoy making organic arnica oil and flower remedies from the Sierra Nevada Mountain flowers.

My primary teachers are my parents Bonnie and Dennis Haubrich, His Holiness The Dalai Lama, Geshe Lobsang Tsultrim, BKS Iyengar, Geeta and Sunita Iyengar, Lama Marut, Deborah Lapkin, Victoria Austin, Nora Burnett, Carrie Owerko and Annie Carpenter.

Audrey Villanueva, RYT

Audrey embodies the spirit of Tahoe community: her passions include many fun outdoor activities, family time with her two children, and combining both is especially high on her list of priorities. Audrey began practicing yoga in 2004.

In October, 2009, she received her teacher training from the White Lotus Foundation in Santa Barbara, CA. Using an adaptive teaching style, Audrey conveys how yoga can help unite body, mind and spirit through breath and awareness, discover a place of serenity, and empower the individual. She loves to inspire confidence in those who might otherwise be intimidated by the yoga experience.

Audrey welcomes students of all levels. She encourages the use of props and incorporates the component of playfulness into her classes, making yoga safe and fun! Audrey finds empowerment and inspiration in the teachings of Mahatma Gandhi, customs of Native Americans, writings of Eckhart Tolle, her White Lotus teachers Ganga White and Tracey Rich and on the top of her list her two children.

Kris Zehren

With over 12 years of experience in teaching Kris studied at Yoga Loka in Reno, Nevada.

Kris has spent time at the Shambala Mountain Center in Colorado and has experienced many different varieties of yoga philosophies and techniques.  Her classes are designed with these techniques in mind and incorporates them into a rich and satisfying experience. Through a variety of poses, and conscious sequencing, Kris' classes and workshops will build strength, flexibility, and balance through stability, as well as provide the space to discover the truth in transition, and the sense of lightness you're looking for in your practice.  Her philosophy on yoga is; Let the breath guide you as you face the challenges on the mat, so that we may live our lives effortlessly. Her classes are inviting to all levels, challenging, and uplifting,  as she will take you beyond the physical aspects of yoga, and brings you into your own sacred space.

Danso

I’ve been practicing meditation/mindfulness for over 25 years. It’s the most important thing I do for myself and everyone and everything else. It’s that passion and belief that have lead me to teach others. I’ve studied and practiced many forms of meditation and mindfulness and feel comfortable passing on the insights I’ve gained from my experience. I also have over 20 years experience as a teacher and that experience helps me introduce people to developing or enhancing their own practice. Despite my experience I still consider myself a novice and enjoy teaching because it keep in touch with a beginners mindset. My teaching style is to help my students find a style of practice that works for them so we will try various techniques and methods.
